Charles Mitch Blackburn

      OROFINO, Idaho - Charles Mitch Blackburn, Orofino, died Wednesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ted Blake. He had been in failing health and moved here 16 months ago from Cavendish for treatments.
      He was born Aug. 11, 1878, in Wilks County, S.C. He came to Teakean near here at the age of 21 and did carpenter work there.
      He married Addie Ann King at Teakean and lived there until moving to Tacoma in 1904. He returned to the Cavendish area in 1908. He farmed and did carpenter work and worked for the county road department for many years. He helped build the road up the North Fork of the Clearwater River and helped build the Methodist Church at Cavendish, of which he was a member.
      Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Blake; Mrs. Jesse Daniels, Cavendish; and Mrs. Wayne Pippinger, Orofino; a son Everett, Lewiston; a sister, Mrs. Vina Raby, Lewiston; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
